That’s the thing about finding motivation, most of times we have it within us but we aren’t looking to the right place or the right people. Either we continue to surround ourselves with people who aren’t supportive or we keep going back to places that bring us down. We need to break the cycle. Nobody can give you motivation it’s within us and everybody has it. Often people say to me “I wish I had your motivation”, generally referring to my exercise routine and healthy eating habits. I wish I could bottle it up and give it away but I can’t and I don’t need to because the truth is you do have it. I believe that we all have the same amount of will inside of us but those of us who go after what we want are the ones that find it inside of themselves to fight for what they want.
Staying motivated can be difficult but no matter what your goal or task at hand may be you have to be certain that you are doing it for you. If you’re doing it for someone else then it won’t be meaningful enough to continue. Dig deep, find out what it is that you’re really after. Set a goal on what you want to achieve and be willing to do everything it takes to get there. If it’s something you desire then you will be willing to make the sacrifices necessary to get where you want to be. If not then I would suggest re-examining what it is you want.
Now it’s time to take those blinders off. Find out what it is you really want and set a goal to achieve it. Take the opportunity to start fresh and decide to no longer hide behind excuses. Stare what you want in the face and be 100% sure it’s what YOU want. Surround yourself with people who are supportive of what you’re after and leave negativity on the doorstep. It no longer controls you. You decide, you act and you succeed!!!
