In six months I had changed my life drastically and through proper nutrition, a consistent exercise routine and the ability of setting goals I did lose the weight I set out to. I continued to use these strategies for setting goals for new challenges in my life. In two years I have ran a 12K race, two half marathons, I’ve completed several 5k challenges with friends: Mud Hero run, Color Me Rad, Mud Run in Olds, AB and I am now getting ready to compete in my second fitness competition. None of this would have been possible without setting goals. It all boils down to how bad you want something. If you want it then make a commitment and don’t let anything get in your way and don’t let anyone stop you.
You’ve learned how important setting goals is to be successful. When you set out to accomplish your next goal remember decide what you want, make it specific, include a completion date, write it down, affirm it, be positive and start small. Now you are pro at setting goals so go for it!
